I tin can't find whatsoever information the speakers in the B&O system.

Where are they located, who makes them, what size are they, what impedence, load, etc.

Is that information non public?

B8.v speaker layout

The B&O speakers are obviously made by Bang & Olufsen. The PR-code for the B&O organization is 9VK, so look in the parts list for parts listed for PR-9VK.

Fronts are 8", rears are 6.v", but as I recollect they're viii Ohm so you lot need to lookout the impedance.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the speakers are actually Panasonic drivers. The tuning of the system was performed by B&O.

is this covered by the extended warranty offere dby audi ?? my passenger front speaker ',rattle'' between 10-twenty volumes. it'southward not a clear sound, there's something incorrect with the speaker.

All the speakers, except the subwoofer, are 4 Ohm; the sub is 8 Ohm.

As far equally I know, Bang and Olufson does not make any speaker drivers. Information technology took me a while to figure out just what B&O did bring to the systems besides the name brand on the speaker grilles. What they provide is acoustic mapping of the car interiors and software for the amplifiers.

I have managed to score a set of B&O speakers and amp for cheap. Although aftermarket is definitely the fashion to go for audiophiles, I remember the B&O system is even so a considerable upgrade over stock. Anybody who says the B&O system doesn't sound much better than stock is in denial or deaf!

Does anybody accept any info every bit far as differences between the stock and B&O wiring? Volition the B&O speakers and amp drop and plug right in?

Did you find out if this was a plug and play setup.

It can't but drop in, there's 4 new speakers you take to wire upward in the B&O over the standard. Take the front left corner. In the standard system, the nuance corner tweeter and the door mid/bass are in parallel on a single amp aqueduct. In the B&O system, the nuance corner midrange and the door sail card tweeter (so you'll need a new sheet card embrace that has the tweeter hole as well, etc) are in parallel on a single amp aqueduct, while the door midbass driver is on a dedicated amp channel. And so it'due south not major piece of work, but I wouldn't call information technology "plug and play" by any means.
